Did any of you see the Movie Sicko? Really sheds a new light on Health insurance doesn’t it? Does not paint a pretty picture of things going on either. Some say some things in that movie were not true. What do you think? I think it seems pretty true and real to me.It was a bit hard to swallow though when they took those people to Cuba for treatment.Thats bad though when American people are slipping across the Canadian border to get free Health care.I think the USA can and should make sure all their citizen’s have affordable health Care.If Canada can do it the USA should be able to. I would like to hear what everyone else thought about that movie.I think it makes the USA look like it does not care about its citizens.I think there should be caps put on how much any company can charge for any and all types of insurance.Health care cost are way to high.I had 3 stitches put in my leg and the bill was around $1,300.00! That is ridiculous and the nurse did everything BUT put in the stitches. The whole thing must have taken about 15 minutes! When you go to pay the hospital will know off a % of their bill if you pay right then. If they can do that then why not charge that to begin with? The world revolves around money any more not people. In the end it will NOT depend on how much money we have.

Where I live we have a lot of Amish around us. The way they afford health insurance is by having dinners for the community at a charge.Once or twice a year they have these dinners to collect money for their health insurance as a group. It goes into a pool I assume and pays for any health related costs. In my opinion it isn’t a bad idea.I feel that probably don’t go to doctors as often as some of us too. They probably only go for extreme reasons not for maintenance the way some of us do with insurance.I think insurance companys like for us to have check ups that way it saves them money in the long run.

I was reading an article this morning where they were discussing how, when we buy and pay our health Insurance premiums, the company can use those funds to take care of any heath care need that goes against our beliefs. The article was by the samaritanministries.org.I think it was actually an ad on the side of a news page. It also said that they share each others medical needs through a simple Biblical approach that does not involve Health Insurance. The monthly share, they go on to say, for a family of any size has never been more than $285.00 and Less for couple and single parent families.Sounds like a winner to me.Also something to think about as you pay your premiums, huh? They could be using your money to cover health care cost of a sinful life style.Like drug abuse or something.Anything that a policy covers, they can use your premiums for.Food for thought.I found this info on AFA online American Family

Before I had my unfortunate accident ,about 2 months before,my hubby had an accident. He and my son who do carpentry and drywall were working on a job one day. Hubby was using a table saw,or I think that was the type he was using pretty sure of it. He accidently cut a portion of his finger off.
My son ended up talking him into going to the Emergency Room. He drove his dad there and they mostly just cleaned it up, not much else to do there. But the cost was expensive! So that was 2 accidents that our son had to drive us to the ER on 2 seperate occasions. I guess he is wondering “What Next!”…lol Quite frankly so am I. Don’t think you will never need the Insurance .This was the first either one of us had needed to go to a ER and we both went within a couple of months of each other.

There are lots of things that will determine the cost of your Vehicle Insurance.Your driving record is one,the number of miles you drive each year is a determining factor.Where you live plays a part, your age,the car you drive and the amount of coverage you want. All these things come together to figure the cost of your Insurance.

I recently had an accident. This was the first time I ever had to use the Hospital Emergency Room.I was using a pair of pruning shears to cut weeds.I don’t know how it happened but I dropped them and they somehow hit my leg below my knee.I did not realize at first that my leg was cut.I did feel a sting and when I reached down to retrieve the shears,I saw blood was running down my leg.I tried yelling for my kids but no one could hear me.One reason being one had on the ear phones to the pc and one had the phone to their ear,the other was in the yard playing with a friend and the neighbors had a motor cycle running up and down the road ,so of course they could not hear me either.I was thinking a person could die here and no one could hear them!By this time my sock and the tongue of my shoe was soaked with blood so I had to hold my hand over the cut and walk stooped over back up hill to my house.
My son drove me to the hospital where I sat in a wheel chair holding a blood soaked dish towel over my leg for 2 hours. After 3 stitches I went home. My bill for the Hospital Emergency Room was over $500.00 and the bill from the Doctor was over $800.00.I would have never thought that something that small could have cost so much.Thats what it cost without insurance,so be prepared to pay those bills if you have no insurance.

How much Home Insurance is enough? There are umbrella Policies.Umbrella policies supplement the liability coverage you have through your home policy and provide an extra layer of protection.Umbrella policies take over after the liability insurance in your homeowners policy runs out.
