Sicko
Did any of you see the Movie Sicko? Really sheds a new light on Health insurance doesn’t it? Does not paint a pretty picture of things going on either. Some say some things in that movie were not true. What do you think? I think it seems pretty true and real to me.It was a bit hard to swallow though when they took those people to Cuba for treatment.Thats bad though when American people are slipping across the Canadian border to get free Health care.I think the USA can and should make sure all their citizen’s have affordable health Care.If Canada can do it the USA should be able to. I would like to hear what everyone else thought about that movie.I think it makes the USA look like it does not care about its citizens.I think there should be caps put on how much any company can charge for any and all types of insurance.Health care cost are way to high.I had 3 stitches put in my leg and the bill was around $1,300.00! That is ridiculous and the nurse did everything BUT put in the stitches. The whole thing must have taken about 15 minutes! When you go to pay the hospital will know off a % of their bill if you pay right then. If they can do that then why not charge that to begin with? The world revolves around money any more not people. In the end it will NOT depend on how much money we have.

HiEvery other blog I have read about Citizens Insurance, has been lacking in information. Your insight into Citizens Insurance is sooooo much better than anything else I have read. Thanks Megan.

Your Welcome Megan. Any help I can give ,I will be glad to try.I feel like hospital bills and Dr bills are over inflated.A person needs to make money but they don’t have to get filthy rich on people who can’t even afford insurance. Thats the way I feel.I don’t know if it is true or not but I have heard of people dying because they have no insurance and the dr’s refuse to treat them.Thats what I have heard on tv.

I read similar article also named Sicko, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me

I agree. My sister who is on SSDI receives $1100 (diabetes and mental illness) per month and her monthly RX cost is $1500. Because she is on Medicare, she does not qualify for any of the usual resources for assistance. Having Medicare is always a disqualifying factor. Tell me again how the Medicare Drug coverage is helping the elderly and disabled?
